The magnificent Bafa Lake, an area of extreme natural beauty is situated in the southwest region of Turkey. It is a long-drawn lake, approx. 150 km. south of Izmir and 90 km. north of Bodrum.
The area is a protected National Park and listed bird sanctuary surrounded by the mystic Latmos Mountains which rise up to 1400 metres high above the lake. The mountains change hue and colour from misty soft pinks to deep purple as the sun rises above them and this is a sight not to be missed. Bafa is an important area for the birdwatcher as it is on a migratory route. There are many rare birds that breed in this area some of the most important being the Dalmatian Pelican, Kentish Plover and Mediterranean Gull. The nearby Great Menderes Delta - is observed by ornithologists from all over the world coming every year to this bird paradise! This area forms one of Europe`s biggest bird refuges and is part of the nature park `Aydin`.

The plots of land available are in an area on the southern shore of Lake Bafa off the Bodrum / Soke road 20 minutes from Altinkum. They are located in various separate areas. Each plot is minimum 12m. x 25m. (300mē) Building is allowed on up to 20% of the land area (60mē) The maximum building height allowed is 2.5 storeys or two floors and a part covered roof terrace.

The Land is in the province of Didim / Aydin and will be administered from Akkoy council

Most of this area has uninterrupted lake and mountain views from the ground and the remainder will have the same view from an elevated position, i.e. roof terrace. The land slopes gently down towards the lake, so even after buildings are erected views will not be between the two main areas are various other plots at various prices.
