Right on the border between Almeria and Murcia we find this beautiful and pleasant place where this nice family farmhouse is located. As soon as we enter we see the terrace surrounded by flower pots. There is plenty of parking space thanks to the large garage and covered carport. Next to the garage is a large recently built room that can accommodate a fireplace a bar a kitchen and a small bathroom. The room very bright evokes the warmth of large family parties that took place there. It even has its own small wine corner. Leaving this room we find the main house in front an old farmhouse renovated with unique and very personal details. A veranda at the entrance provides the necessary shade on the sunny days that are so common in this region. Upon entering we are welcomed by a spacious living room with a fireplace. It also has air conditioning. From here we see a door that gives access to a very cosy double bedroom with a wooden window. Note the thick walls. These keep out the summer heat and ensure that it will be pleasantly warm in the winter.Back in the living room we come to a kitchen that has been renovated with taste and attention to detail the tiles and windows of yesteryear have been respected. It is a room with a lot of character and a large storage capacity. Here a door gives access to a small patio at the back.Leaving the living room we find a huge antique wooden coat rack which many years ago belonged to Lorca s Casino and right next to it a wood burning fireplace that gives warmth to the whole staircase and the upper part of the house. A bathroom just in the corner with a shower and a storage room under the staircase gives us an idea of the good taste that was used in the renovation of this beautiful cortijo. At the top of the staircase is a large mirror the remains of a billiard table from the old Casino of Lorca. Upstairs we find three spacious bedrooms all with space for a double bed and a bunk bed wardrobe and double wooden windows that flood them with sunshine and an incredible sense of well being. Throughout the rooms we can appreciate the chimney pipe that provides the necessary warmth in the cold winters of the area. Outside you will be surprised by 1800 square metres of garden and different corners. From a playground with swings and a playhouse for the little ones to a wooden bench with a statue to relax and read a good book. A swimming pool (now covered for the winter) with a chill out area for sun loungers and a refreshing drink make this area ideal. There is also a barbecue corner another portable barbecue to enjoy beside the pool a workshop with all kinds of tools three water tanks a chicken coop and a small terrace at the top of the house where you can relax and sunbathe in complete privacy. Around it is a mural with paintings made by the previous owner on a whim and space for fruit trees. All in all this is a tastefully renovated farmhouse a priceless peace and quiet and a comfortable feeling of being at home is what you will find in this place.
