Xeraco (Jaraco in Spanish) is a municipality located in the Valencian Community, in the south of the
province of Valencia and in the region of La Safor. It is 56 kilometers from Valencia capital and only
5 kilometres from Gandia. Xeraco limits the north with Tavernes de la Valldigna, to the east with the
Mediterranean Sea, to the south with Xeresa and Gandia and to the west with Benifairó and Simat
de la Valldigna. Xeraco has a population of little more than 6,000 inhabitants. The municipality of
Xeraco has an area of 20.2 square kilometres. In the geography of Xeraco we find beach,
mountains, marsh and a wide area of agriculture. The climate of Xeraco is quite tempered
throughout the year. One of the most important features of Xeraco is its extensive beach, with a
sand strip of 3 kilometers in length and awarded since 1988 with the European Blue Flag. Its
enormous natural dune cord and the cleaning of its waters make it one of the beaches with the
