When we were honored with the special honor with the designation of pueblo magico the federal
organization for pueblo’s magicos asked why we were privileged with this title. Some answered
because of our fine dining others majestic architecture, Music and more. In addition, the organizers
said all of that may be true but what is unique is the folk art and artisans that our area has been
famous for from pre-Columbian times through colonial and Today.
We have chosen our location to be on a typical street not so typical in that it is one of the oldest
crafts neighborhoods in town. Close to all the local attractions just a few blocks away , restaurants
, shops , galleries , music , night life , main plaza and historical center . Still far enough from the
attractions to be in a real working traditional family barrio of artisans and women. Experience a
