About the Area

Huatulco is located on the southern Pacific coast in the state of Oaxaca. This is where the Sierra Madre del Sur meet the Pacific and the region offers some of the most spectacular ocean views you are likely to find anywhere in the world. The area includes nine bays and 36 pristine beaches stretching along 20 KM of coastline

The town was developed by the federal government to promote tourism in Mexico and has some of the best infrastructure in the country. This includes well lit paved streets, an 18 hole golf course, two marinas and an international airport. In 2005 it received the green globe 21 award for sustainable tourism largely due to its unique water treatment facility where no sewage, treated or other wish is pumped back into the sea.

The Villa is located in an upscale residential neighborhood about 10 minutes from the town center. There are four five star hotels within a few minutes drive and another five star hotel opened just last year, indicating that the area is growing.

The area is extremely safe and has been experiencing steady growth over the past decade. Currently the airport is under expansion and the highway to the airport is in the process of being twinned.
