Located on 3375 hectares of titled land,
Takeri Private Reserve is pristine land that
has never been used for commercial
farming. In 2006 Taycare Zambia/Takeri
saw the potential of the property as wildlife
area and obtained the title deeds and then
fenced and stocked the property. Over the
past six years all the species have bred
well, especially the sable of which we have
already had live sales and hunting. Patsy
joined the company in 2010 and it became a
Ltd company under the name of Takeri
Wildlife Ltd. In the last two years, the main
house and one chalet were completed, the
construction was begun on more chalets,
and the reserve opened for its first
international hunters. Takeri has also done
live sales and mass captures for routine
care of the sable.
