Circa 2900 Victorian Farm
house also known as The
Baird House. Named after
the Woman who was born
there and spent her entire
Life there. She past away
at 96 I bought her to
spend summers in. I am a
American who lives in
Costa Rica most of the
Time. We planned on
spending Summers there
and restore her back to
original beauty. Í hired a
Grounds keeper who lived
in the house rent free.
When he wasn`t working
he worked on the house.
He was from Boston a 4
hour drive. He made a trip
down to pick up the last
of his belongings. While
there he was rushed to
the hospital with a hernia.
3 days turned into 3
weeks. I had an
electrician com in to do a
small job replacing know
and tube electrical in a
small area of the house.
Cost $3000. When he
arrived the house was a
skating rink. The heating
fuel ran out and the pipes
froze and burst.
Lucky the electrician
knew some plumbing a
fixed the 1st floor
heating. He had to stay at
a Break n breakfast for 5
nights. It cost me $8000.
Then he told me the knob
and tube was not.
Isolated to that small
area. The entire house
had to be rewired
$60,000.
Left to be done heating
plumbing 2 floor.
