DESCRIPTION
The area is placed on the Slovenian coast
near the port of Koper, in industrial zone
Dekani-Bivje at an altitude of 7 m. Industrial
zone is located on the edge of accumulation
plains Ri�ana. Land use in the area is
predominantly agricultural. On the slopes is
dominated by vineyards, orchards and olive
groves.
Settlement in the area is rare.
On the plain Ri�ana place almost all
transport (road and rail) links Koper with the
hinterland. Highway runs along the slope,
northeast of the industrial zone.
More then thirty years, the cemical plant
operated in the industrial part of our area.
For the past ten years only the production of
phthalic anhydride and maleic anhydride
operated.
The production has shut down in a year
2010. Production facilities will be dismantled
and the area .
