Located next to Douro valley (10km), Ucanha is one of the five classified wine-
making villages with an ancient history that goes back to medieval times. It is
also included in the Cister route.

It`s an old stone house with an area of 314m2, half reconstructed with all the
licenses and legal projects already approved. The estate has a total area of
2000m2.

This project has on its origin two buildings - a small house and a water mill -
and was projected upon the idea of joining the buildings with another newly
made house in between (stone and glass).

The mill is on the riverside of Varosa river (a Douro`s affluent). It has a water
course below it that goes through the property up to its limits. It still have the
original grindstones inside that could be integrated on the whole decoration set.

The small house has, actually, 3 small bedrooms and a bathroom, and the mill
was adapted to a living room with a kitchenette.

Although the reconstruction is not finished we believe it is worth to accomplish
that on account of the beauty and the quietness that surrounds the place.
