PROMOTING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN COMRAT
The City of COMRAT represents one of the principal cultural and economic centers in the south of Moldova as well as boasting some of the most impressive prospects in development. The district has the most accessible ways of communication: railways, waterways, roadways and airways. Due to the favorable geographic location, COMRAT represents a promising window for initiating and maintaining reciprocally advantageous relationships between Western and Eastern countries.
Several of the main highways to major cities run through or near COMRAT, including those to CHISINAU and ROMANIA. The network of roads ensures permanent access year-round to communities within the city of COMRAT, as well as other commercial centers in Moldova. The industrial center of the town has the potential for substantial production, although presently operating at a capacity of only 50-60%.

According to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova the changing of destination of agricultural lands in industrial, transport, telecommunications proposes is approved by the Government. In the case that the destination of the agricultural lands is changed for construction of garages, storehouses, stock and maintenance of agricultural machinery, stock and procession of agricultural products, accommodation of agricultural workers, the related procedures are simplified to the maximum extent and are limited only to the approval from the State Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre.

TAX ON IMMOVABLE PROPERTY

Tax on immovable property is a local compulsory tax, payable to the budget on the basis of the value of immovable property, and it is divided into tax on immovable property and tax on land.

The objects of taxation are: immovable property, including land located within or outside the community and/or its improvements (buildings, apartments, etc.).

The maximum tax rate on immovable property represents 0.5% of the property value. Land tax rates are based on classification and the fertility grade of the land.

The taxpayer shall pay the tax on immovable property in equal installments no later than 15 June and 15 October of the current year.
