Beloved by Tsar Nicholas II and Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria, he was called `The King of Baritones and the Baritone of Kings.` Guests and close friends who frequented the villa included artists such as Giuseppe Verdi, Gabriele D`Annunzio, Jules Massenet, Pietro Mascagni and Lina Cavalieri
The house is located in upper Lazio close to Umbria, 16 km from the ski slopes of Monte Terminillo, a few km from Greccio, Rieti, Terni, Lake Turano, and 1 km from the Belmonte in Sabina golf club. It borders San Francesco path. It`s 70 km from Rome
It dates back to the 1700s and was purchased by the Battistini family, my ancestors.
The villa is spread over two levels with a total area of 500 square meters.
The upper floor, measuring 250 square meters, features spacious rooms, and the walls of the living room were painted by Antonino Calcagnadoro --(Phone number)-- ) with frescoes depicting landscapes and floral motifs similar to those in the Teatro Flavio Vespasiano in Rieti.
The bright spaces include five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a very large dining room with 7-8 meter ceilings with exposed beams and a majestic fireplace, as well as a spacious kitchen. Completing the living area is an upper floor with four bedrooms and a bathroom.
