Every stone has a soul in Calascibetta. In Contrada San Michele, local lore tells that in the 14th century, Norman knight Roger of Hauteville-`the Saddleless`-searched for his daughter, kidnapped by Saracens. Exhausted, he slept under a walnut tree whose roots clung to rock. In his dream, they formed a tunnel to her prison and led her to safety. Upon waking, she lay beside him unharmed. The tree became a symbol of protection and love.
Just steps from that tree, this villa spans three floors within a private courtyard and features a continuous stone-and-iron balcony overlooking the valley. The basement offers a garage and an independent one-bedroom apartment with a bathroom and open-plan kitchen-living area. The main residence spans two levels: the ground floor has terracotta tiles, a fireplace, kitchen, laundry, and two bathrooms; the first floor has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and light parquet floors. Bright and airy, it rests in the peaceful Sicilian countryside.
