Cabrio yellow beetle, music by Bob Marley, around us alternate shades of greenery, yellow and
brown of the plowed and grown fields while above us the sky is sugar paper.
Before visiting the property, a stop in the center of Gonzaga, a small rural center of the Po Valley
halfway between Mantua and Reggio Emilia which gave the name of one of the most illustrious
Italian families of the Renaissance. There is always something to discover and the kitchen and wine
in the area never betray.
Today I am curious to make a visit, I love the ancient country farmhouses very much and I like to
see how they were recovered.
My expectations are not disappointed and the access road to me is waiting for an imposing clay
bricks on two floors in which oil green taxes stand out.
A paved pedestrian entrance and flanked by Multicolor Ortensie leads us to the finely renovated
double swing wooden door in pleasant contrast with the glass and iron solution of the door that
allows you to have natural light at the reception.
Yes, because on the ground floor a B&B has been expertly obtained with welcoming and large
rooms from which you can admire the lost view of the plain, equipped with fireplaces and
bathrooms en suite and a large kitchen space to be able to indulge.
On the first floor, with access from an internal staircase, we find the master apartment. Three large
bedrooms, a large kitchen, the heart of the house in the tradition of rural families and two warm and
welcoming salons heated by ancient terracotta stoves of the early twentieth century. We make an
last ramp of stairs and here we are a further large space to draw and think.
This farm is a perfect combination of ancient and modern, in which the renovated merges with the
recovered in a welcoming harmony that makes you feel immediately at home.
Around the main farmhouse, forming a square with the well, the well develop 3 other buildings what
I call the household one construction on two floors that could become the decandance with 2 or
more housing units, the old dovecade and a further building currently used to storage and
hospitalization.
The possibilities of use are manifold: I would see well a restaurant activity perhaps using the
outdoor spaces for weddings and ceremonies in pure roof style, or expand the B&B with other
themed or two -room apartments in the household, or the creation of spaces for teaching
workshops perhaps with the addition of animals typical of the farm and why not also keep the
existing one by dedicating themselves to dog breeding.
For those who love the campaign, this property already has everything that one can want the stars
at the window the ladybugs on the tree and the bottle of white wine in the fridge, just a little
imagination is enough to transform it into your place of life and passion.
