A traditional stoned made tower in front of
the sea was built in 1870, at the picturesque
fishing village Kotronas, in Mani, the
southernmost tip of mainland Greece and
Europe. This unique area is surrounded by
mountains and is lush with trees and
scattered small villages. Kotronas village
has plenty of water which is the best in the
region of Mani.
The tower sits in the center of the main
sandy beach of the village in two levels. It is
surrounded by a garden of 470 sq.m.
including a well with drinking water. It was
fully renovated in 2004. In the center of the
tile roof there is a loft providing a perfect
observation of the sea. The total surface of
this unique property is 145 sq.m.
Since its renovation the tower hosts the
famous café-restaurant `En PLO Delights`.
`En PLO` means `sailing` in greek. Each
floor of 70 sq.m. is a single room, which can
be equipped or separated according to the
requirements of the buyer. Two external
stairs connect the ground floor to the upper
level. All the windows, french windows and
doors are made by wood, facing the sea or
the mountains. In the upper floor a stoned
made fireplace is available. The renovation
was made by grouting, granite and interior
cemented monoblock for perfect support.
The stoned made fence has three
entrances (one for parking). On the back
there`s a small river which is now cemented
and serves as a road. On the side of the
property there is a stoned made church in a
good condition.
The tower is free from any debt burden and
may be used as a home or as a business, or
combined. It belongs to an owner.
If the buyer wants to expand the building to
the garden, he may build even 400 sq.m.,
as the tower is located within the city plan. It
also has diesel generator, 60 KVA,
underground water tank and underground
watertight tank.
