There are places with a layer of earth with a thickness of 2 to 3 meters, or others with a thickness of 10 cm. Low hill, ± 650 m. approximately above sea level. The Rhône valley is clearly visible from above. Annoying when the `mistral` blows through the valley in winter. “Le Pigeonnier” and “Grand Malleval” are reference points on GOOGLE earth and maps. `Le Pigeonnier` is/was a lodging gîte for `trial` motocyclists, from swiss owners. There are other Dutch neighbours, a community deputy is dutch. The belgian owner had his home there for many years. Living there in a tent, 6 x 18 meters. The metal structure still is visible on Google earth. On that plateau, there is a pole with power line leading electricity, from the downstairs belgian/french owner, to the neighbour “Le Pigeonnier” higher up. Aside of the tent plateau, there is a dugged hole, capable of holding at least 100 m3 of water. In the hole there is a clay deposit, bentonite/montmorillonite, enough to seal the walls and bottom of the hole, to make it a pond.
On the land there is also a small underground water passage which feeds the accessible spring more downstairs. This access point can be used for the owners own water supply. Long ago the town had a German lead and silver mine. Abandoned in 1914. Near to the tent plateau there is a hidden access to this underground labyrinth. Former owners have their private cemetery on the land. Some persons came there to search for the mineral “Valladinite”. The place offers adventures for a 1 1/5 decade. Until you turn 65. Longer when you have good energy. To get to know the territory for the first time, it would be good to stay for a week at “Le Pigeonnier”. .....Other information at : adventures.......Sold due to age of owner.
