ATTRIBUTES AS AN INVESTMENT:
CURACAO:
• Since the last 30 years Curacao has had a stable currency pegged to
the dollar 1.76 Naf/dolar, thanks to the back‐up the Dutch
Government has given to Curacao.
• During the period 2000 to 2.007 there was a fast and important
growth on the hotel demand (1.556.664 nights to 2.560.282) at an
average annual growth of 9.2%.
• The hotel occupation grew 75% in the year 2.005 to 85% in the year
2008.
• No capital gain tax. For example, if you buy a unit in $400.000 and
sell it in $450.000, you don`t have to pay taxes on the difference
($50.000)
• Flourishing Free Trade Zone.
• Stable and secure finance Sector: The legislation of Curacao is based
on a system of civil laws which has its basis on the Dutch legislation
