Twin plots of land on the island of Olib, part
of Zadar archipelago (second furthest off
mainland) in Croatia. The plots are  -(Phone number)-  m2 large and are located near (not
within) the village, about 100 m from the
seacoast. Both have building permit.
Ownership is clear (1/2) and we have all
documents prepared already. Dust road
access directly to the port (ab. 300 m),
almost no other buildings in immediate
vicinity (the closest is a small church and an
old graveyard - otherwise mostly olive
groves and mediterranean black oak forrest,
unique to Olib). One of the plots has a
source of undersea freshwater, and also
richer and deeper soil, ideal for a garden
and/or for planting more demanding trees
(s. a. walnut, orange,...). The environment is
protected by Natura 2000 EU legislation,
therefore no motor vehicles (except service)
are allowed and all future development
should be bound to eco-friendly behavior.
The island has several sand and pebble
beaches with low water stretching far into
the bay (ideal for children) on one side and
a rocky shore with crystal clear sea on the
other; it takes about 2 hrs of comfortable
walk to get across. The village has all basic
infrastructure (two stores, post office, public
beach, restaurants and bars, police and
medic from Zadar on demand (regular visits
once per week)). The place has a rich
history and culture (humans have inhabited
Olib since antiquity). Current population is
moderate in peak tourist season (July,
August) and quite low for the rest of the
year (officially 140).
Connection to Zadar and the neighboring
islands every day by catamaran speed boat
(there and back) + ferry three times/week
out of season; every day during high
season (june-september).
