Grand Hotel Rayon has been inaugurated in 1993. It is localized in Curitiba – Paraná – Brazil. When inaugurated, has been classified by EMBRATUR as a 5-star category hotel. Its actual classification is luxury superior although the hotel market still uses the classification by stars. The famous magazine, Guia Quatro Rodas Brasil, known by its rigorous criteria classified this hotel as a best one in the Curitiba region during 9 consecutive years. It is affiliated to Summit Hotels & Resorts, idependent chain of high category hotels, present in the biggest business and leasure centers around the world. Grand Hotel Rayon has 136 rooms of diferent categories and sizes: Presitential Suite with 115 m², Sênior Suite with 90 m², Júnior Suites with 70m², Executive Suites with 50 m², Executive and Luxury Superior rooms with 30m² and Luxury rooms with 25m², making it possible to offer adaqueate options to various guest catagories. The gastronomic área of the hotel has two restaurants: Garbo offering an international cuisine and Galla offering Franco-Italian cuisine. The hotel has also one Lobby Bar that starts to serve at 10,00 a.m. The event área of the hotel consists of 5 ambients: Fórum with a capacity for 250 persons plus one spacious Foyer; Ágora with a capacity for 120 persons (that also has its Foyer). Both salons and the foyers inegrate forming an ambient with a capacity for 350 persons; the salon Terrace, with a capacity for 100 persons, is localized at the swimming pool and forms an ideal ambient for social events; the hall Atenas with a capacity for 30 persons is an excelent meeting ambient for small groups; the hotel has also its Business Center formed by two rooms prepared for business meetings and equipped with 39 computers, fax, internet, vídeo + any other communication equipment, if requested; for social events hotel offers the istallations of the Ego Night Club with a capacity for 200 persons; it has DJ and the dancing area. For the recreation the hotel offers Health Club with two covered swimming pools, dry and wet saunas, Scottish shower, fittness center, massage and a rest and relaxation ambient. The hotel also offers its Hair Center and its unisex beauty center. To the hotel guests the hotel offers safety measures such as an electronic system implanted in the elevators and in the room doors, activated by an inteligent magnetic card; electronic individual safes in the rooms and in the covered parking área with a capacity for 120 cars. The new technology offers to the hotel guests in the rooms: the light intensity control, electric appliances centralized in the phone keyboard; two telefones with a standby option; Cable TV; internet connection and anti-noise window glasses.
