Eagles Rest is an established holiday resort situated on the shores of Lake Kariba, Zambia, near the tourist town of Siavonga, only two and a half hours drive from Lusaka and only 8km from the spectacular Kariba Dam Wall.

Set in 4 hectares of some of Africa`s most beautiful countryside, Eagles Rest is nestled in a secluded wooded area on the shores of the Lake with beach frontage and magnificent views across the Lake to the Matusodona Mountains.

The site consists of 13 well maintained, self-contained chalets, fully air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, kitchen area, veranda, and braai facilities, with Lake frontage and magnificent views across the Lake.

Chalets are well appointed each containing either a double bed plus single or three single beds.

Eagles Rest has a large swimming pool situated near the restaurant area.

The focal point of Eagles Rest is the Beach Bar situated on the beach amid the coconut palms and wild fig trees.
Eagles Rest has the only beach frontage in Siavonga.

Eagles Rest has a campsite which is situated in woodland with magnificent views of the Lake.

Eagles Rest also has a harbour which is protected by a narrow entrance and suitable for all boats, large and small.

A newly constructed Conference Room provides conference facilities for up to 30 people conference style or 80 people cinema style.

Eagles Rest is connected to 3 phase 440 volt mains electricity supplied by the Zambian Electricity Supply Company (ZESCO) and a newly installed (February 2016) 65KVA Deutz diesel standby generator.
Also recently installed is a 2 stage Power Factor Correction unit.

Domestic water is pumped from the Lake, filtered and chlorine treated.

The site is also connected to the internet via a VSat satellite system and Wi-Fi is available around the site for guest use.

Sewage disposal is by means of a series of septic tanks and soak aways.

Solid waste refuse collection is done by the Siavonga District Council.

In addition to the main hospitality facilities, there is also a Manager`s House, Laundry, Maintenance Workshop and ample parking space for vehicles.

The site has scope for further upgrade and expansion with land available for future development.

Undoubtedly one of the best hotel sites on Lake Kariba.
