The population of the village consists of mainly young people, who are mostly employed in the nearby resorts and tourist establishment.

Many Bulgarian and foreign (mostly British) people own holiday homes here, some of them living permanently.

The 3 football stadiums, which belong to Albena beach resort, are hosting a number of international tournaments. Apart from the primary school, there is a secondary school as well as a sports school for young football players. Recently the `Beautiful Bulgaria` project invested funds in the restoration of the local Christian Orthodox Church and the Monastery.

The Municipal projects for the next 2 years include building of local waste drainage system. The village is completely supplied with water and electricity, and also with telephone lines. It has very good developed infrastructure.
