The two-storeyed house is located at 6, Ymittou Street, off Hospital road, in Aegina Island, in Greece (very close to Piraeus -- 40 m. by high speed boat or 1 h. and 15 m. by standard boat). At a central part, in the town of Aegina, the house is near the former governor`s office (Kyverneiou street) and close to the Markellus Tower. It is placed inside a beautiful garden, and from the upper floor`s large covered veranda one can see greenery (trees), the Methana peninsula and further off the sea.

I bought these two plots of land, together, in 1995. One of them is 252 sq.m. and the other 140 sq.m., giving a total of 392 sq.m. The first one, is allowed to build 257,04 sq.m. We have used only 95,82 sq.m. of this, so there is another 161,22 sq.m. free to build, if one would like to have a bigger house than the 95,82 of the existing building. The second plot, 140 sq.m., next to the house plot, does not have permission for buildings, and I bought it just in order to have a larger garden. Under my ownership, the house was built by an architect known for his efforts to preserve the local colour and authentic architectural style of Aegina -- which is not white and blue, as we see in Cyclades, but rather neo-classic, since Aegina had been the first capital of Greece during the late 19th century.

The house is unfurnished. At the elevated ground floor: large sitting room- dining room, 10X6, opening to verandas, one modern kitchen 4X2,50, very sunny with a door to the garden, and a large W.C. with a shower cabin. At the upper floor: one large bedroom 4X4 with a big veranda and one balcony, a small room which can either be used as a sleeper or as a walk-in closet, one bathroom with a bathtub and two windows, a second small kitchen, and a large covered veranda (4X4), with a table and chairs, which could easily convert to a second large bedroom, as it already has a floor, electrical provisions, etc.
